C.K.I. Center

Curiosity

Knowledge

Information

This subtly dramatic nature center is at the intersection of information and curiosity. With structural elements inspired by the glass frog, this building informs visitors about amphibians, like the frog. By utilizing topography, visitors are able to view all of the natural landscapes surrounding the site. The pattern of the ETFE that wraps the exterior of the building resembles the form of a glass frog cell structure while the transparent qualities resemble eggs of the glass frog. The central mechanical room is encased in glass to show the inter-workings of the building, much like a clear underside of the glass frog shows it's internal organs.
